Sunny Seaside Run. Sunday 24th July

The weather man claims it will be Sunny on Sunday. Hooray, about time! Our long run this weekend will give us the opportunity to enjoy the coast before scores of tourists line the promenade. Starting and finishing at The Peace Statue on the seafront and heading East.
As a treat Sundays run will be fairly flat. It’s about covering the distance rather than pushing up the hills (we are saving that for Wednesday!) For those who are training for Palma there are three distances tailored to your training programmes. Or if you have registered or contemplating the Brighton Half or Full Marathon, it gives you a taster of some of the route. If you have previously completed one of those events then you can reminisce over the moment whilst retracing your steps! If you just like the idea of a Sunday morning social run then this will be an ideal one for you too.
The three distances to choose from are a 15k, where the turning point is a slight incline to Rottingdean windmill.
A 11k, your turning point is impossible to miss. The prestigious Roedean School.
Or the 9k where you get to watch the boats down in the Marina as you start to head back.
Our start and finish point have the Lawns for a post run stretch and a cafe for a post race coffee if you want to stick around.
Meeting: The Peace Statue
When: 8.30am
Lead Runner: Katie (07702983744)
Middle and Back up Runners: Melissa and Sian.
£5 drop in.
