Join us this Sunday as we make the most of the beautiful surroundings right here on our doorstep as we head from seaside to countryside.
We will start our run at the promenade behind King Alfred Leisure Centre and head up through the shady Three Cornered Copse (at the top of Hove Park) and out across the Downs.
The climb is gradual so not only will you be improving your stamina, but you’ll also increase your leg strength and become a more efficient runner. We’ll be focusing on distance, so our running will be at a steady pace. This means you’ll be able to catch up with friends and take in the views of the sea from up high.
And your reward for all this? (No – not the Sunday roast that everyone talks about on the way back!) You’ll become a quicker and more efficient runner helping you on your way to achieving your running goals; whether it be a 5k, 10k, half marathon or to be able to get out of the city and feel the wind in your hair!
There are three distances to choose from: 9km, 12km and 16km. The shorter route will turn back at the top of the Three Cornered Copse whilst the longer and middle distance will turn east at the Hill Top restaurant and head towards the windmill and Waterhall. The longer run will head north and make a loop before heading back whilst the middle distance will turn west at Waterhall towards the golf club and head back. Each group will be lead by a fitbitch trainer who will be there to help you go the distance and make sure you are not left behind.
