This week we are building endurance to enable us to run further; ideal if you are working towards increasing your distance for a specific event or if you want to burn off some excess calories in time for your beach holiday!
We’ll be going at a steady pace and whilst you chat with friends, your body will be making its adaptations to transform you into a fitter and more efficient runner. And if that’s not enough, you can expect to gain leg strength. Hill work recruits two or three times more muscle than running along flat, making that next run along a windy sea front a breeze!
The routes follow the South Downs Way and Monarch’s Way so there’s no need to worry about getting lost if those views distract you! The long route will do a loop around Bushy Bottom just past Truleigh Hill and the shorter route will turn back a mile west of the dyke pub.
