Yes you’ve guessed it, our mid-week session is all about speed.
Speedwork is incredibly rewarding because for short intervals of effort, you’ll be able to run faster for longer – great news if you’re training for a longer event or if you want to get fitter.
The session will also teach you about pacing yourself; being able to run hard whilst controlling the speed over a set distance. This is an essential skill if you want to start beating your race times or to run faster for longer.
If you attended the heart rate training session, come with your heart rate monitor and percentage heart rate calculations. We will be working at intervals of 75-80% max heart rate. Don’t worry if you don’t know what this is. We have other ways of gauging how hard your body is working so you are guaranteed to get a great workout!
