Forage and run – Sunday 4th Sept 8.30am

Bring your blackberry picking bags

Why think of a run as a ‘training run’ when you can think of it as a nice jaunt foraging for autumnal fruit but just at a faster pace than usual? Join us this Sunday for a beautiful September run to increase your distance for those doing Palma’s Half Marathon in October, and to build your strength for those doing the 10k.
PLEASE POST A COMMENT HERE TO LET US KNOW YOU ARE COMING SO WE CAN ARRANGE THE APPROPRIATE NUMBER OF TRAINERS.
Both routes start flat and involve a gradual but manageable climb before the 10k group loop back for a beautiful down hill back to the park.
The longer group head up to Devil’s Dkye and up to Trueleigh hill for spectacular views, which will require some strength from the legs. But you are rewarded on the way down with a fast descent via blackberry bushes galore!
Yoga for runners stretching at the park afterwards for 15mins.
10k route
19-21.5k route
Meet: Hove Park Cafe
When: 8.30am
Lead group, 21.5km and 19kms: Rachael
Back group: 10kms, Sian

  3. I usually find 2 trainers are necessary. One for the left foot, the other for the right. :0) I’ll be there tomorrow. x
