Fancy dress on the Downs?
Due to FitBitch taking part in this weekend’s Alternative Village Fete, we are moving our weekend training run to Saturday at the earlier start time of 7.45am. Why? Because this weekend’s run is going to be a little bit different.
The run up to the Downs will be just under 4miles. But for those who want to add to their mileage,(taking to approx 8miles) and/or see how much faster they are once warmed up, you can finish with this Saturday’s Parkrun.com.
Parkrun is a brilliant event and this weekend, they are celebrating their fourth anniversary, with an optional fancy dress Halloween theme.
Parkrun has seen so many FitBitches graduate to running 5k and then to go on from there, it would be wonderful to take part in their anniversary, either by running the race, or volunteering at the event to help cheer others on.
PLEASE COMMENT BELOW IF YOU ARE COMING AND WHETHER YOU ARE RUNNING (AND WHICH ONE) OR WHETHER YOU WOULD BE WILLING TO VOLUNTEER. AND WHETHER YOU’RE GOING TO WEAR FANCY DRESS UP THE DOWNS TOO! SCARY.
Location: Hove Park, far side by the mini roundabout
Time: 7.45am (or 8.45am if just doing Parkrun).

Back runner: kate
Drop in: £5 (only if doing Downs Run)
**please note, the Palma training package has now finished and runs not used can not be transferred over.

Ooh, I was hoping we could still do park run! Would be willing to do both (in fancy dress), but not if I am the only one…..
Yep be good to do both, never done park run, but not sure about the fancy dress,however is there any chance of a lift to the start? Thanks.Sophia
Sophia, you can get a lift there but probably nto back as got work to do. I can pick you up at the end of my road (Tesco’s end) St Aubyns at 7.30am

I will not be wearing extra zombie outfit; exertion of running up onto the downs will give me a natural deathly complexion…
I’m in for the downs run. I’m not beeing a party pooper but i’m not going to have time to sort fancy dress. Jo Rivett is coming too.
don’t worry, I’m not going to have time either. besides, I’m dressing up for FitBitch At White Night. Can’t do TWO outfits in one day!
I’ll be there for the Downs run – need to get home after so can’t do parkrun as well unfortunately…and short of wearing Jessica’s pumpkin outfit, I’m just going to go dressed up as a Fitbitch. Fairly scary in some respects!
