How to train for a Marathon the happy way.
This Sunday our marathon training run is 15 miles of mixed terrain. We get the benefits of coast and country.
Starting at Hove Lagoon we will run east and then head inland towards Devils Dyke. Yes, you’ve guessed it, there’s some infamous FitBitch hills included (mainly up!) But the benefits include less strain on the joints, more conditioning for the muscles and toning for the butt!
Our route is a loop off road then returning back down to the Lagoon on a slight decline with gorgeous views.
This is a training run so there is no pressure to run within a certain time, although you will be encouraged to keep it going, even up hill.
If you are female and currently up to this distance in your training then come along. It’s always great to chat and laugh with fellow runners and before you know it, you’ve ran and even enjoyed your long run.
