Speed up your running
Join us this Wednesday for a speedwork session which you’ll be pleased to hear will only involve brief bursts of effort to guarantee faster running.
We’ll be using the tried and tested pyramid style of training, starting with a short distance, gradually increasing, and then coming back down again. As the distances are short you can run at your maximum effort knowing that you have a recovery in between.
Speedwork makes you fitter, increases the range of movement in your joints, makes you more comfortable with running at speeds and it will ultimately help you to run harder for longer. This session will teach you to control your effort over a set distance, just like you need to do in a race, ideal for those of you training for the Bluebell 10k, Berlin half or Brighton marathon.
