8 mile Berlin training and 3 mile option. Sunday 29th April.

Revelling in the glory of running. Next stop, Berlin.

Revelling in the glory of running. Next stop, Berlin.

We may only be a third of the way through 2012, but it’s been a great running year so far. The Brighton half and full marathons, Bluebell 10 and next week some FitBitch runners take to the streets of Berlin. Sunday is the Berlin runners last long tapering run. It’s an 8 miler with a seafront stretch and some hills as we head over the back of Saltdean, Rottingdean and Ovingdean. The run isn’t limited to our Berlin crew. As normal it’s a training run that is open to all females. We have a 3 mile option (seafront stretch) if you are fairly new to running. This does depend on the demand, so please inform us beforehand if you prefer this distance.

After a fortnight of typical British weather, there may be some muddy patches as we head over the Downs. If you do have trail shoes then best wear them. It always seems to be the muddy, hilly routes provide the most smiles. That could be due to the lovely scenery more than  anything. So for an enjoyable and healthy start to your Sunday, come along and run with us. We start and finish at a cafe, handy if you fancy a warm drink or even breakfast (maybe not so healthy!) after the run. If you need a lift then mention it in the comments section and where you’re coming from.

Meet: Roedean Cafe and Miniature Golf Course, Marine Drive, Roedean. Parking behind the cafe.

Time: 8.30am
