Speedwork is incredibly rewarding because for short intervals of effort, you’ll be able to run faster for longer. This is great news if you’re training for an event like the Bluebell or marathon or if you are simply running for fitness. Whether you’re new to running or a seasoned pro, you will benefit from this training session.
As well as teaching you about pacing; the ability to control your speed over a set distance, we’ll also be doing some strength conditioning – an essential but often overlooked part of your running training.
Bring a mat if you have one and wear plenty of layers for the strength work. You’ll soon get warm once we start running.
