The Easter weekend has passed by quickly. Too many chocolate eggs? Wednesday’s hill session will soon disperse of the extra calories, with an added bonus of our first session with longer, lighter evenings. It may not feel quite like spring yet but you can still put that extra bounce in your step as you spring onwards and upwards in training. Brighton marathon runners although you are on your taper it is still important to put some intensity in this week. Keep recruiting the muscles in your calves, hamstrings, glutes, quads and hip flexors without adding anything new to your programme. Bluebell runners it’s about progressing from your previous hill session so you can build on the strength in the muscles to get you up that final hill on race day.
