This Sunday there’s another popular FitBitch running route that’s slightly flatter than last week. It does start with a hill though. Starting from Hove Park, heading up the copse then on towards Devils Dyke, taking in the sea views as we head back to Hove.

4 miles: (Start of Amsterdam 12 week and Royal Parks 10 week plan)This route is out and back. It starts with an incline which is great training to build up muscle power and tackle hills on future runs. You return the same way, so you get plenty of recovery on the last stretch.

8 miles: Building up from the previous weeks training, the mileage has increased by 1 mile from last week. There are two rather challenging inclines followed by a flatter, faster course on the final stretch. Once again this will give you the opportunity to work on negative splits for a great fitness boosting workout.

One of the best things about building up distance in a run – or working towards this, is not just the sense of accomplishment but the fact that you also get to see so much more of your surroundings.

Think you can’t escape the city without a car? Think again.

This Saturday’s route will reveal a fantastic off road route up to the Downs where few may suspect it exists.

If you are doing our trail running course, or our beginners to half marathon then this is a crucial step in your training as it will be an off road route where we will navigate mixed terrain.

It is a hilly run but it is all good fun and we will work with you on technique so you finish feeling fab.

There is a 3mile run for our beginners group which is NOT available as a drop in, unless you have signed up to our Weds, Sunday or full package (still available if you wish to do so

And we have a five mile social run for our regulars on a drop in basis. The front group will work on a fast pace so get ready for a good heart pumping blast.

Don’t worry if you’d prefer a laid back approach though – our run ambassador will lead those after a more leisurely run.

Location: Hove Park, by the small roundabout corner of Goldstone and Woodland Drive

Time: 8.15am for a strict 8.30am departure

Scenic Sunday, training run 3rd February, 8.30am



For runners starting their training for  10k and 10miles, we’ll be doing a flat, seafront 3.5miles run meeting at 8.30am on the seafront in front of King Alfred’s car park.

Half and Marathon Training Group: 13.5miles and 12miles

Get ready for a scenic stunner, heading out along River Adur, around Bamber Castle and back.

Unlike our previous runs in this area we will be keeping to the right hand side of the river going out, using the Link route to avoid the mud ( But this is the country, there will be mud once we head off this Link path so wear trail shoes if you have them!)

This weekend’s run will be working on race simulation, so we will be attempting to pick up the pace. Both groups will run together, with the half marathon group doing the final 1.5miles into Shoreham by Sea to finish.

PLEASE NOTE – because we are working on pace this weekend, we ask all those who typically run at the back of the group to meet at 8am. We will be starting earlier to give you time to work on your speed. If you are unsure whether you fit into this category, please call RAchael 07855 742195.

FitBitch Xmas Party, Thurs 22nd Dec

Dress code definitely more glam than this!

Come and celebrate your fantastic FitBitchin’ year with wine tasting, nibbles and more.

This year, our Xmas Soiree will be at Cave Au Fromage, Western Road from 8pm onwards. It will cost £20  per head, to include wine tasting, along with platters of delicious cheese, charcuterie and veggies.

And after, there is always cocktails at the nearby Medicine Chest (for those of us who remembered being disappointed by the everything closing up early last year!).

Dress code? Whatever you like.
