Yes you’ve guessed it, our mid-week session is all about speed.
Pace work is incredibly rewarding because for short intervals of effort, you’ll be able to run faster for longer – great news if you’re training for the Bluebell 10k, Berlin half or the full marathon. And great for beginners too and those who just want to get fitter.
The session will teach you about pacing; the ability to control your speed over a set distance.
Do you have a tendency to run too fast at the start of a race only to feel your legs get heavy and tired half way through? This session will help you overcome this to help you start beating your race times and to run faster for longer without running out of steam.
We’ll also be looking to get you out of your running rut by increasing your cadence (that simply means moving your legs more quickly) – which will get you moving faster and reduce the risk of injury that comes from over-striding.
