NEW RUNNING COURSE

For runners starting their training for  10k and 10miles, we’ll be doing a flat, seafront 3.5miles run meeting at 8.30am on the seafront in front of King Alfred’s car park.

Half and Marathon Training Group: 13.5miles and 12miles

Get ready for a scenic stunner, heading out along River Adur, around Bamber Castle and back.

Unlike our previous runs in this area we will be keeping to the right hand side of the river going out, using the Link route to avoid the mud ( But this is the country, there will be mud once we head off this Link path so wear trail shoes if you have them!)

This weekend’s run will be working on race simulation, so we will be attempting to pick up the pace. Both groups will run together, with the half marathon group doing the final 1.5miles into Shoreham by Sea to finish.

PLEASE NOTE – because we are working on pace this weekend, we ask all those who typically run at the back of the group to meet at 8am. We will be starting earlier to give you time to work on your speed. If you are unsure whether you fit into this category, please call RAchael 07855 742195.

everyone else, meet at 8.30am as normal.

10k & 10mile BlueBell group: Meet in front of King Alfred Centre Car park, 8.30am. Running Ambassador: Mel L

New courses starting this week

Whether you are a beginner, someone returning to running or one of our regulars, don’t miss our course to 10k or 10miles training for the truly spectacular BlueBell Trail Race, April 21st.

This course is a 12 week one starting at four miles for both groups but will build gradually, particularly in the 10k group aimed at beginners and beg-intermediates.

Our 10mile training group will be developing speed particularly on longer runs so are more suited for intermediate runners and to those able to run at a certain pace (unsure if this will be suitable for you? Give us a call).

WE start TONIGHT but if you miss this session, you are free to join at any time although if you are a beginner then do try to come this Sunday or next week.

Details about courses and booking are here. Questions? Email info@fitbitchbootcamp.com or call Rachael 07855 742195.

Don’t let your nerves get in the way of you missing these awe-inspiring, endorphin boosting…and body changing runs!

Have we changed YOUR running?

Do you think we deserve the accolade of Women’s Running Group of 2012?

Whether we have introduced you to a form of exercise that you now love and enjoy, or have motivated you to become a better runner or to run that bit further, Women’s Running magazine are looking for their group of 2012.

Don’t vote for us because you feel like you should. Vote for us if you feel like we really have helped you make a positive change in your life.

We don’t do what we do just because we are a business.

Our club is staffed by women who love running and who want to communicate that – and the great sense of empowerment, not to mention endorphins running provides, to as many women as possible.

If you feel strongly about how our club has helped to change your figure, fitness and more besides and would like to vote for us, (or you would like to nominate a particular coach or running ambassador) please follow this link.

Hurry though, deadline is coming up fast!

Even if you don’t have time to enter or don’t wish to, we would love to hear how running with us, has changed you if at all.

Stanmer Park Raspberry run, Sun Aug 5th, 8.30am

Who needs energy drinks when you have fresh raspberries?

At FitBitch, we love a foraging kind of run. After all, the beauty of running is exploring and the sights, scenes and, ahem, food you may pass along the route.

This Sunday, for those doing the longer 10 or 11mile route, we go through an area that just a few weeks ago was full of ripening wild raspberries. So, you’ll have that little natural energy bomb to help you pick up your feet as you view the stunning scenery on this run around the Stanmer Park area. (be aware the terrain is mixed, mud, long grass and chalk – choose your footwear well).

As for the beginners, this will be your first experience of off road running with the club and it is a beautiful run. There are hills but as you go up them (and you will!) just keep reminding yourself it’s great for your butt shape!

For the beginners there are two options: 3.6miles starts from the car park near the church. Meet there and be ready to go at 8.40am. Run ambassador Mel A will be there.

For those wanting 4.5miles meet the car park on the left hand side.

And incorporating hills really does transform your running and it will leave you with a fantastic sense of accomplishment by the end.

PLEASE COMMENT HERE IF YOU ARE COMING SO WE CAN ENSURE WE HAVE ENOUGH COACHES, THIS IS IMPERIATIVE TO HELP US PLAN.

IF YOU NEED A LIFT, AGAIN COMMENT AND SOMEONE WILL BE COMING YOUR WAY TO GIVE YOU A LIFT. OUR RUNS ARE OPEN TO ALL EVEN IF YOU HAVE NOT COME BEFORE.

Location: Stanmer Park, meet on the left hand car park as soon as you enter the park

Time: 8.30am

Drop in: £5

Short distance: Led by Coach Kate Boys, back runner, Melanie Anning

Long Distance: Led by Coach Melissa, running ambassador Mel L.
