Stunning Sea to Downs, Sunday 1st December

Trail running and sea views.

Trail running and sea views.

Pinch, punch first day of the month…enjoy your spectacular run with us this weekend on a run that will go from tarmac to off-road, and from flat to hills.

This 5mile run is the first of our off road route to help build distance and strength.

We are operating a new system on ALL off road routes where you will be buddied up with someone of your own pace, who you must remain with throughout the run. We will match you on the day (please note there will also be a turn and return policy in place which we shall explain on the day).

Enjoy the flat, tarmac path along the Undercliff heading out towards Rottingdean to focus on your cadence (er, or Sunday chat!) before heading inland and up!

This route is NOT suitable if you have not been training with our half marathon group. You are welcome to come in as a drop in member only if you have recently run this distance.

Location: Brighton Marina Asda Car Park (please bring money for parking)

Time: 8.20am for a strict 8.30am start

Price: Payment online only – click HERE

Coaches: Rachael and Tor

If you’ve seen our photograpahs of our recent Amsterdam Half Marathon trip on our Facebook page, you will  have seen that training in a group together can make running fun, rewarding and help to ensure you make your distance even when you feel like staying in bed!

Now it’s your chance. Our Brighton Half Marathon training course starts on Weds 20th November.

What do you get:

  • 11 X Weds 7.30pm training sessions incorporating strength training to help prevent injury and make you more efficient
  • 10 X Sunday runs from 8.30am off road and on road to help you build you distance in a supportive environment, all with women training for the same race
  • A training plan, expert coaching guidance and fun

You can either book the entire course, or just Weds or Sundays. Drop ins will continue to be available for all but the most cost efficient way is to book the course. FULL course, £129 Sundays only £90.

We would also encourage those new to us, to book the course so we can work with you and develop your running with the right degree of attention.

PLEASE note, that the Sunday part of the course is ONLY open to runners who can currently, and regularly run four miles. If you need help reaching this mileage between now and Weds 19th, please get in touch for one to one help.

(FRunClub closes for Xmas December 22nd and returns on Sun Jan 5th)

Want to join our women only marathon training? You will need to fulfill the following pre-requisites

1. Train with us throughout our half marathon training to achieve a time of 2hrs 05mins or less so you can then join our 14, 15, 17, 19 and 21 miles training runs throughout Feb-April.

2. OR be able to send us a link to show your recent half marathon time of under 2hrs 5mins in which case, you will able to join just our long training runs in Febuary if you prefer.

This will allow our long run training group to stay together at a similar pace.  Our prices and booking for the half marathon to marathon training will be released in the next few weeks. Long run training will be led by Karen Russell, a veteran of three marathons and experienced in endurance running.

Our marathon coaches Rachael and Kate are also available for one to one marathon coaching (for men and women). BEtween them they’ve run 9 marathons, from Mumbai to New York, Lake Garda to London.

They help improve your technique, make you more efficient as a runner with strength and flex conditioning and help  with all your questions about nutrition, race psychology, training kit and more.

Stunning Sunday run for Brooks 10k & Amsterdam, Sunday 29th Sept

Beauty and the beast of trail running, a hill to get up but rewarded with a downhill

Beauty and the beast of trail running, a hill to get up but rewarded with a downhill

Get your autumn running legs on the go with this beautiful 3mile coastal route, over a mixture of terrains with some flat and undulating hills. Aimed at those training for the Brooks 10k, it is open to newcomers as well as those on our Brooks packages. With this route, you can always turn and return on your own if you feel you’ve bitten off more than you can chew.

For our Amsterdam and Royal Parks Half Marathon runners (or those who are regular long distance runners) we have a 13 mile route although for those who are a little behind in their training, there is the option to meet us later and do 10miles. You will need to comment here if you choose to do this.

This longer route is a mixture of ups and downs but is a great confidence boosting run with a lovely downhill section that helps you to get your rhythm and feel strong.

While we will try to accommodate newcomers and regulars alike, these longer distance runs of 10 and more miles are NOT suitable if you can not demonstrate gradual mileage build up recently. If you have been injured and then upped your mileage please email us first before booking.

We will be offering pace groups of between a one hour 45 and 2 hour 10 half marathon time on this 13mile run (that’s on a flat – don’t panic!)

Location: Meet Tesco car park Rottingdean

Time: 8.20am for strict 8.30am departure – please note those who wish to run 10miles can meet us here at 8.50am when we should be on our return through the park to continue the remaining 10miles (please comment here if doing 10miles as well as booking online)

Coaches: Rachael & Karen on Long, Melissa on short

Please pay online – no payments on the day will be taken – £10 drop in pay HERE

The only way to get your glow on – run the Fitbitch way

Please note our beginners running course will meet in the same place with Karen. For drop in run club please read below.

After last week’s strength and conditioning session, build on your running foundations with this our pace seafront session.

We will again be going over a few technique pointers with our metronome cadence and (don’t worry if you’ve not done it before now, we’ll go through it) ladder work to give you poise before the pace.

This will take up a short warm up section before we go into a pace session suited for all levels, whether beginners and new to us or our regulars.

If you’re a total beginner, these pace sessions work to help build you distance with a break between each distance. One of our regulars, you know what to expect!

ALL bookings must now be made online here except for Rise 8k Runners. If you are a Rise runner please comment below to let us know if you are coming.
